Ned Crisp and Bottomline
Ned Crisp & Bottomline
From the hills of eastern Kentucky, Ned Crisp & Bottomline carries on the tradition of bluegrass music and pays homage to its birthplace. The five-piece, high-energy band encompasses the traditional, contemporary, and gospel sounds of bluegrass. They take pride in their tight, four-part harmony vocals and always deliver a first class performance. The group, known as accomplished singer-songwriters in their own right, are currently working on their fifth studio album (working title), with their latest release being the critically acclaimed, Taking the Back Roads Home (produced by Don Rigsby). The full-length project features songs by Tom T. Hall, Tim O'Brien, Mark Brinkman, as well as some of Bottomline's own original material.
Ned Crisp & Bottomline performs regularly throughout the country at fairs, festivals, concert halls, performing arts centers, state parks, universities and churches. They've toured the West Coast four times over the past six years, and have shared billing with everyone from Ralph Stanley, Rhonda Vincent, and J.D. Crowe, to country artists like John Anderson, Marty Stuart and Exile. The band has had the distinct pleasure of being chosen as a Top 50 artist on the Americana Crossroads survey, as well as being featured on popular shows such as Australia's, "Music from Foggy Hollow" and the national PBS broadcast, "Rhythm of my Soul: Kentucky Roots Music."
With a thrilling live show and an extensive tour schedule, Ned Crisp & Bottomline is an instant fan-favorite among those who listen. Their solid rhythm, silky smooth lead work, and consistently tight harmonies make up the sound that so many have grown to love. It's no wonder they are considered to be one of the most entertaining live acts in the industry today. And they just happen to be some of the nicest guys you'll ever meet!
