Mary Ellen's Jazz Birthday Bash Concert
In this concert, Mary Ellen sings a rich repatoire by some of the most prominent jazz musicians/composers Miles Davis, John Coltrane, Thelonious Monk and Kenny Garrett. She is joined by an array of talented and high energy creative musicians:
Marco Casasola, keyboard; Ryan Lucas, bass; Greg German, drum kit; Robert Zuckerman, saxophones; Matt Smith, congas; Susanna Goldenstein, percussion; and Ernest East, vocals.
Mary Ellen adds a unique dimension to this jazz concert, that of her expertise on Middle Eastern percussion. Highly acclaimed belly dancer Nanna Candelaria and reknowned modern dancer Antoine Hunter will add joyful dance performances to the concert.
