ALL AGES: Humanwine with Lady Lamb The Beekeeper & Marie Stella
Humanwine, out of Boston, Oakland, and anywhere in between that their mobile grease-bus home carries them, brings a mix of heavy cabaret, arty pop, rollicking klezmer, and twisted circus punk to their allegorical take on oppression, politics & the proletariat. Varying in size from two members to a dozen, each Humanwine performance is a unique experience--though always fronted by Boston Phoenix Best Female Vocalist of 2008, Holly Brewer. New local outfit, Marie Stella, is what happens when a pop band features a two-headed mermaid as its singer. Come by and see what the buzz is about. Speaking of buzz, Lady Lamb the Beekeeper is known for sweet vocals, inventive arrangements and instrumentation, and some of the catchiest pop songs in town.
