Mendelssohn's Magic is an all-Mendelssohn program commemorating the great composers 200th year with a generous sampling of his work:
Overture to A Midsummer Nights Dream (piano four-hand version) performed by Lori Piitz (piano), and Paulo Steinberg (piano)
Mein Gott, warum hast Du mich verlassen, op.76, No.3 with the Madison Singers (Patrick Walders, director)
Organ Sonata No.2, op.65 with David Schrader (organ)
Selected Lieder with Michael Haag (bass) and Gabriel Dobner (piano)
String Quintet in B flat, op.87, with Diane Pascal (violin), Erin Keefe (violin), Vladimir Mendelssohn (viola), Amadi Azikiwe (viola), and James Wilson (cello)
The concert will take place in Staunton, Virginia's historic Trinity Church
