Kenny Brooks/David Valdez Quintet
New York City based saxophonist Kenny Brooks is a founding member of the ground-breaking Hip-Hop Jazz group Alphabet Soup, which after over twenty years together remains one of San Francisco's most popular bands. He has toured and recorded with guitarist Charlie Hunter (Natty Dread - Blue Note Records), Eddie Marshal, Joe Henderson, the Ohio Players, and Bob Weir's Rat Dog, Levon Helm, and George Garzone. Saxophonist David Valdez and Kenny Brooks have co-led groups together for 30 years. They will be joined by pianist George Colligan, bassist Chris Higgins and drummer Michael Raynor. This extraordinary jazz ensemble is not to be missed! 8pm - $8.
