Quadrivium
From the crew that brought you "BRIDGES", and the lovely chaps at Believe You Me comes a unique expression of art and music

|| QUADRIVIUM ||

Dating back to Pythagoras, the Quadrivium refers to the four cornerstones of the classical liberal arts curriculum.

Number
Geometry
Music
Cosmology

In a raw warehouse venue, we will conjure all four through an immersive geometric art gallery, live painting & performance, interactive pieces, and a stellar lineup of talented local and out-of-town DJs working their craft on pristine Alignment Sound.

Headlining the roster is LA's Jon Charnis, a man with releases on nearly every one of our most beloved deep, melodic house labels. (Dixon & Ame's Innervisions, Lee Burridge's All Day I Dream, Art Department's No.19 Music, Matt Tolfrey's Leftroom Records, & Audiofly's Supernature)

Also joining us from out of town is Seattle hometown hero Nordic Soul, aka Decibel Festival founder Sean Horton

About Jon Charnis

After years of producing music under various guises, Jon Charnis found his true calling in the slower, darker, and deeper spheres of House music. The re-invention manifested beyond music as the former DC native relocated to the city of Los Angeles while launching his new moniker (his actual birth name). From then on it didn't take long for him to make an impression. His track 'Prophecy' was spotted by Innervisions boss Dixon, who signed the track to his prestigious Berlin based label after road testing it at some of the world's premier parties. He followed this up with an official remix of Art Department's Burning Man anthem, 'Robot Heart' on No.19 records, a collaboration with production partners Lovecraft and Prab K. With upcoming tracks on All Day I Dream, Supernature and Leftroom, 2013 will be a year to watch for this fast rising producer.
As a DJ, Jon Charnis' international profile has risen just as quickly. With gigs at Space, Ibiza and events at Sonar in Barcelona already under his belt, 2013 sees Jon traveling worldwide to hotspots like Berlin and London.
Jon Charnis has received support by world renowned DJs such as Art Department, Dixon, Steve Lawler, Tale of Us, Thugfucker, Audiofly, Ame, Anja Shneider, Matt Tolfrey, Droog, and Daniel Bortz to name a few.

About Nordic Soul

Nordic Soul has deeply impacted the electronic community not only through his work for the annual Decibel Festival but also by slaying Seattle dance floors year-round. His emotionally charged sets are infused with live instrumentation and ripe with the mélange of organic and synthesized tones, all riding on top of heavy bass lines. The resulting music is a living, hybrid creature with a rich sense of soul that delights in its own existence. A lover of many musical styles, Nordic Soul's interest and roots in hip hop, IDM, industrial, and dub contribute to his current musical palette that straight drips techno into the mouths of the waiting audience, thirsty for the unrelenting madness and unabated aural penetration that is electronic music.
