Summer Art House Film Series: Black SciFi: The Afrofuture is Now!
The Film series is on the Third Thursday of the month for June, July and August at Golden Bridge Lofts in Downtown Oakland.
June 18 Double Feature & Discussion : Sun RA: Space is the Place, 1974 and Last Angel of History, 1997.
July 16 Brother from Another Planet, 1984. (directed by John Sayles, starring Joe Morton)
Aug 20th. - Born in Flames, 1984. (directed by Lizzie Borden, starring Honey and Flo Kennedy)
seating at 7:30, show is 8-10:30pm (later on double feature nights), $5-$10 admission. Popcorn, munchies, soda, beer and wine available. and maybe some lemon bars.
