Pete Seeger Sing-A-Long
A concert celebrating the life of Pete Seeger will kick-off this year's Woody Guthrie Folk Festival on Wednesday, July 9 at the Crystal Theatre in Okemah, OK. Songs written by Pete as well as songs popularized by Pete will be performed. In addition, some of Pete's words will be interspersed throughout the evening. Confirmed performers include Jimmy LaFave, Joel Rafael, Ronny Cox, David Amram, Larry Long, Annie and Cathy Guthrie, Audrey Auld, the Red Dirt Rangers, Radoslav Lorkovic and Tim Easton and Megan Palmer. The amazing WoodyFest house band under the direction of Terry "Buffalo" Ware will once again lend support with Ware on guitar, Don Morris on bass, T.Z. Wright on keyboard and accordion, and Michael McCarty on drums.
