Join us as we welcome singers Bradley Greenwald, Prudence Johnson, Diana Grasselli and pianist Dan Chouinard at Open Eye Theatre June 5-8, in concert. The program will feature music that came out of the short-lived but remarkable collaboration of composer Kurt Weill and playwright Bertolt Brecht in late 1920s Berlin. Violinist Gary Schulte and guitarist Brian Barnes will also play. This is a rare opportunity to see these accomplished musicians in the intimacy of Open Eye's 90-seat house.
The concert will include "Alabama Song", "Ballad of Mack the Knife", "Surabaya Johnny", "Pirate Jenny", "Bilbao Moon", "What Keeps Mankind Alive" and "Pimp's Ballad", among others.
We recommend 16+. Lyrics of some songs are about violence, prostitution, etc.
