8:05 pm - [FEATURE FRIGHT]: RADIO SILENCE (2012) || Canadian Premiere||
In RADIO SILENCE a pirate radio host is the only person who can prevent a serial killer from slaying his next victim, but saving one innocent soul means sacrificing another.
By day, he's a family man. By night, he's "Doc Rock" (Markus Knüfken): the host of a pirate radio station. His favorite topic to mock is the Nightslasher (Charles Rettinghaus), a notorious masked serial killer who has been evading the police in a string of erotically-charged and brutal murders. But Doc should be careful what he says...you never know who is listening in. When Doc receives a surprise call from the Nightslasher, he's forced into a sinister game of life or death. If Doc can convince the Nightslasher not to kill his latest victim by the end of the show, he'll let her go. If Doc fails, he'll kill her on air for all to hear. As Doc Rock attempts to outwit the Nightslasher, a veteran cop (Ronald Nitschke) who's listening in races to piece together the clues and stop the Nightslasher before he can kill again.
RADIO SILENCE delivers a pulse-pounding game of cat and mouse that takes audiences on a thrill-a-minute plunge into the depths of human depravity through a dark and terrifying maze of secrets, lies, and murder. Nothing is what it seems. The killer is closer than you ever imagined. There is no escape.
Dir. Marco Riedl and Carsten Vauth.
