Grand Winter Holiday Concert 2025
Maricopa Music Circle and Maricopa Chorus are together again this holiday season to bring your favorite holiday tunes back to Maricopa Agricultural Center for our fifth matinée performance! Come to this cozy venue to hear the wondrous sounds of the season as Maricopa Music Circle chamber orchestra and Maricopa Chorus community chorus, blaze a trail into the 2025-26 concert season. We are delighted to bring the warmth of the season to Maricopa through MUSIC!
This full-length concert features classical MMC works like Scarlattis Sinfonia No. 2, and Bachs Prelude and Fugue in Bb Major that as always, are specially tailored for our ever-changing instrumentation. A newly minted small group work with vocal soloist Katrina Cornish, of Walking in the Air wraps Seasons Greetings like presents for your ears. But best of all, this concert is chock full of familiar favorites! An MMC winds and brass premier of Its Beginning to Look a Lot Like Christmas, a new look at the childhood favorite Christmas time is Here, and Gary Zaimonts jazzy go at Swingle Bells, are stars upon our tree. MMCs collaborations with Maricopa Chorus for our traditional White Christmas and a new solo for Choruss Christina Smalley of O Holy Night bring new sparkle to vintage favorites.
Plus, a glorious garland of Choral Carols, greet our guests as Maricopa Chorus performs both with and without orchestral accompaniment. Reflective favorites like Jesus, O What a Wonderful Child, and a fantastic rendition of Carol of the Bells, Maricopa Chorus also premiers new arrangement by conductor Sarah Chaston of fun holiday favorites called Its Caroling Time, and it wouldnt be caroling season without We Wish You a Merry Christmas. Plus, there is plenty of variety with MMCs Chanukah Oh Chanukah, and a Maricopa tradition, the program finale of the great Hallelujah Chorus sing-along so, bring your singing voice and be ready to join in!
