1st Friday at the Sound Room
For 1st Friday we honor the future of jazz. We will be presenting 2 bands - Richmond Jazz Heritage Band & the California Jazz Conservatory Band. These bands feature students of jazz. Music begins at 7. Each band will perform a set then will jam together with some pros! After the bands we feature Carey Williams spinning some great music. Carey is the long-time tour manager for Taj Mahal, and a great collector of jazz, funk and soul music.
This event is free, but tax-deductible donations will be gladly accepted. Beer, wine, and non-alcoholic drinks will be available for purchase, along with a selection of small plates and amazing cookies and treats from Uptown Kitchen artisan Woop Woop Foods.
