School of Rock Lynnwood presents: 90s Alternative
THIS IS A TRIBUTE CONCERT
'90s Alternative was a genre-breaking explosion of sound, attitude, and authenticity,
where bands ditched formulas and embraced everything from Britpop to funk-rock,
industrial to shoegaze. It teaches musicians to value expression over perfection
combining raw emotion, unconventional song structures, and genre mashups into
something fresh and powerful. Bands like Dinosaur Jr., Blur, Smashing Pumpkins, Nine
Inch Nails, and Beck led the charge; proving that being different wasnt just accepted
it was celebrated.
