James King Bluegrass Band with local opening act Adam McPeak & Mountain Thunder at The Blue Ridge Music Center
Due to a relapse of recent health issues late last week and over the weekend, Mr. James King and his bluegrass band have had to cancel their appearance at the Blue Ridge Music Center.
Adam McPeak & Mountain Thunder will still be appearing and the Galax based Loose Strings Band - a young, all female bluegrass band - will join the bill.

Max Meadow, VA native Adam McPeak, a 17 year old mandolin player, has headed up his own band since the age of 13, in 2009. The Mountain Thunder Band, which includes three other teenagers plus Adam's dad Mike McPeak, of the legendary McPeak Brothers, plays a hard driving, sweet sounding, earth pounding style of bluegrass and gospel music.
