An Evening with True North
American Roots duo True North (Kristen Grainger and Dan Wetzel) create songs of haunting beauty that nestle in the ear on the way to the heart.
Kristen's songwriting has taken top honors at MerleFest, Wildfower, and the Telluride Bluegrass Festival. She won the USA Songwriting Contest and a showcase at SXSW in 2022. She was named, alongside Dolly Parton and Brandi Carlile, one of the "Women Who Wrote Our 2020 Soundtrack" by The Bluegrass Situation.
A gifted multi-instrumentalist and singer-songwriter, Dan Wetzel is a luthier whose guitars and other stringed instruments appear in all of the duos recordings and live performances. In fact, he made all five instruments played on their newest album, "Time and Materials," now in wide release. Learn more at www.truenorthband.com.
