Course Description: Explore key updates to the 2025 California Building Code, effective January 1, 2026, with a focus on significant changes in life safety and accessibility requirements. This course covers topics such as building heights and areas, fire protection systems, means of egress, legislative updates, and accessibility to public buildings. Gain the knowledge and skills to ensure compliance with the latest standards and effectively implement these changes in your projects.

Learning Objectives:

1. Understand the California code adoption cycle.

2. Learn about the Significant Changes to the 2025 CBC with respect to life safety and accessibility.

3. Understand why the codes were changed and the potential impacts on projects.

4. Learn to avoid common errors and misconceptions.
