William & David Hershaw at UCC/Venue_138
An hour of contemporary Scots folk music from two award-winning songwriters. A father and son duo who combine well-crafted lyrics, good humour, lively mandolin tunes and eye-catching guitar playing. William Hershaw is a playwright, poet and Scots language activist, known for his Fife roots and for winning the prestigious Callum MacDonald Award. His latest album 'LEID' was described as a 'game-changer' for the Scots language. It was produced by his son David, a popular singer-songwriter and multiple instrumentalist, known for his work with Paper Sparrows and for running the popular Kirkcaldy Acoustic Music Club.
