Clues, fittingly, is shrouded in mystery. Playing secret shows as early as 2007, these seasoned members of bands you love (Alden Penner of Unicorns and Brendan Reed of The Arcade Fire) are fully formed and ready to share in their lofty endeavor. Bringing along multi-instrumentalists and Montreal artists, Ben Borden, Nick Scribner, and Lisa Gamble,the combination can only yield an ornate craft and dedication to original sounds. Their Constellation records release, created during the blustery and isolating Montreal winter, is soon to be full of worthy summer anthems. Like their former projects, they may burn out fast, so see them live while you can.
During live shows and on recordings, the bands share and trade-off on their extensive collection of instruments and create a hopeful, urgent music that expands Montreal's (already diverse) pop music lexicon, with references to post-punk and experimental music traditions.

Leather Tom and The Dirty Dudes
These Portlanders may have attended a few too many Clinton Street Theatre showings of Rocky Horror Picture Show. Taking cues from T.Rex, Roxy Music, Electric Six, and endless hours of electronica, LTTDD are ready to strut their nubile junk. Using synth and the ever-present saxophone, this is the crew to get your dance party started. Luckily, their phone number is plastered all over their myspace page. Make sure to wear a button down shirt as you will be undoing them one by one during their sexy set.
