Dominic Frasca live @ The Monkey
Fixations is a new work that combines solo guitar, documentary film, video art and performance art in 5.1 surround sound and multi-surface surround projection. The piece itself , like The Monkey is ever evolving and from performance to performance will build and grow with new elements being added and subtracted for the life of its run. This ffth installment will include a performance of the complete version of Frasca'a massive solo guitar piece "Deviations" as well as a new piece for guitar and video.The Monkey is not a bar but DOSE provide free refreshments of all types for its audience.A state of the art 5.1 surround sound performance space located in the heart of the Flatiron District the Monkey is equipped with a killer sound system and large video screens making it great place to see and hear art as well as a nice environment to hang out afterwards and meet the artist and other audience members which we really, really encourage.
