Sat, 5/17: The Whitney James Quintet West Coast Tour From NYC - DON'T MISS THIS! Whitney's supple alto voice wraps itself around a song like no other. Her emotional connection and delivery of the lyrics is supple, soulful, and all about storytelling. Her debut CD The Nature of Love spent 16 weeks on the National Jazz Charts and received critical acclaim worldwide. In 2012, Whitney was featured on Marian McPartland's Piano Jazz: Rising Stars on NPR radio hosted by Jon Weber. James presents a blend of classic jazz standards and popular music with her unique approach to every tune. Joining her will be LaRue Nickelson-guitar, Jeremy Powell-tenor sax, Geoff Harper-bass, Matt Jorgensen-drums. Join us for a truly inspiring and energetic evening of jazz! 8pm - $10.
