Unraveling Michelle
East Coast independent filmmaker and seemingly consummate guys guy Joe OFerrell had something to tell people. Loading up the cameras in order to catch it all on tape, Joe turns to the crew and matter-of-factly reveals leading a secret life as a woman and the intention to transition and live as a woman, full-time.
Thus the journey begins through the series of feminizing surgeries and treatments to become Michelle Ann Farrell. However, Michelle quickly realizes that the physical changes are relatively easy compared to the momentous task of re-introducing herself to those who have known her as a son, a buddy, a national hockey champion, and a role model who came back from the depths of a life mired in drugs to make a better life. UNRAVELING MICHELE is a film thats uplifting and inspiring for anyone who struggles with surviving in their own skin.
