Join the Backyard Betties for a concert at Festival Hall. All your favourites and some new songs that will have you laughing, singing along and maybe even crying!

We will have two special guests opening the first and second set. Jason Andrew Griffith and Craig McIvor.

Festival Hall will have a cashless bar available. We will also have snacks and merch available (card/cash).

ABOUT THE ARTISTS:

The Backyard Betties offer an authentic folk/americana style show. Nancy Laberge's witty banter and heartfelt original songs, high-energy background vocals of Pip Hazell, vocal-harmony and driving beats of Sarah Nielsen, and captivating lead guitar of Mark Cassano, all combine to deliver personal experiences of love, life and loss through music. We will have two fabulous musicians with us for this FULL BAND show including Dale Ulan on Bass and Alexandra on fiddle.

ABOUT THE OPENERS:

Jason Andrew Griffith

After re-emerging in late 2022 following a years-long break from music, Alberta-based artist Jason Andrew Griffith has been hard at work in the Calgary scene, writing and performing a unique style of prairie-infused Americana music that evokes the likes of Tom Petty, Ryan Adams, and Corb Lund.

Craig McIvor
Craig has been penning tunes since he hit double digits. From Billy Joel to Radio Head to Keith Urban, his musical tastes are all over the map. But while Craig can amaze you on the piano, his heart beats to the rhythm of his guitar. There's just something about the percussive, soulful strumming that opens up his craft as a songwriter.
