Ali Levy / Hard Red Spring
Ali Levy:
Taking a modern twist on deeply-rooted tradition, Ali Levy combines the worlds of singer-
songwriter lyrics with the groove of Soul music. Alongside her band, consisting of voice, tenor
saxophone, trumpet, trombone, guitar, piano, bass, and drums, she sings about growing up and
defining what love means to her. She was launched into her career in 2019 with her first
independent release; the single Come Back. Since then, she has released another single called
Text Me in The Daylight and her debut EP Warning Signs. Planting roots in her home country of
Canada, Ali frequents the stages around Quebec and Ontario, creating deep connections with
audience members, and growing her fanbase.

Honest to God, this is exactly what every kid with a guitar and amp in the garage wanted to be,
to do, to have: a few close friends, a good idea, a decent sound altogether and the courage to
stand up and sing and play for others. If you have ever done so - ever known that feeling of being
worthy to entertain your peers - you know that nothing can touch it.

Thats what it feels like to be in Hard Red Spring. We are a band of Montrealers who hang on
and hang out by making music together. For a decade now we have been making songs about
menacing weather events, conjugal poisoning, amorous wrestlers, public bathing, brave
comrades and ghostly philosophers wandering around NDG. We also make mistakes. The boys
sing and the girls sing and the boys and girls sing together. Sometimes were loud, sometimes
quiet. We havent quit our day jobs.
Nous sommes un groupe de Montréalais qui s'accrochent et qui samusent faisant de la musique ensemble. Depuis une décennie, nous faisons des chansons sur des événements météorologiques menaçants, des empoisonnements conjugaux, des lutteurs amoureux, des bains publics, des camarades courageux et des philosophes fantomatiques qui errent autour de NDG. Nous faisons aussi des erreurs. Les garçons chantent, les filles chantent, les garçons et les filles chantent ensemble. Nous sommes parfois bruyants, parfois silencieux. Nous n'avons pas changé de carrière.
