Fall Swing Dance at Multnomah Arts Center
Jumptown Big Band presents our annual Fall Swing Dance Saturday October 12, 2024 at the Multnomah Arts Center Auditorium. This venue has a large dance floor and plenty of parking. Beginner dance lesson starts at 7:00pm with live music from 7:30pm to 10:00pm. We will be performing a variety of musical arrangements programmed specifically for swing dancers. Portlands leading big band singer Claudia Knauer will keep you entertained with her exciting renditions of well-known favorites. A half-hour beginner dance lesson will be provided by professional dance instructor Mindy Barnhart of Stumptown Dance to allow new swing dancers the opportunity to learn some steps and perhaps provide seasoned dancers with a brush up on the basics. We hope you can join us for what will be a memorable evening of music and dance.
