A Young Soloist Celebration
We open our season by featuring four winners of our Young Soloist Competition
which will include:
David Popper's Hungarian Rhapsody, performed by Anthony Kim on cello
Cecile Chaminade's Concertino for Flute, performed by Yue Xia
Franz Joseph Haydn's Piano Concerto in D, 3rd movement, performed by Rei Yamazono
Sergei Prokofiev's Piano Concerto No. 3 in C, 1st movement, performed by Patrick Yoon
The orchestra will also perform:
Edward Benjamin Britten's Young Person's Guide to the Orchestra
and Selections from Peer Gynt composed by Edvard Grieg
