Guitar Fest 2014 presents three of the leading jazz guitarists in the San Francisco Bay Area on one stage!!! Joined by a stellar rhythm section each player will showcase their unique individual stylings and original music compositions. Listeners will also have a chance to witness the multi-colorful interaction and improvisational interplay of all three players as well.

Bulgarian (San Francisco based) impressionistic chamber jazz guitarist/composer Hristo Vitchev has been referred by the media as one of the newest and most innovative voices in modern world/jazz guitar. His music has been captivating audiences all across the globe. At only age 33 he has already released 6 critically acclaimed albums as a leader plus two more releases as a co-leader. As JazzTimes magazine describes his music: "Vitchev's sophisticated and adventurous work is imbued with shimmering harmonies and lyrical improvisations." "Vitchev's multihued compositions are like impressionistic sound paintings." - JAZZIZ CRITICAL JAZZ says: "Hristo Vitchev may be one of the best kept secrets in jazz today. He is the epitome of sonic gold."
Hristo Vitchev has toured nationally and internationally and has performed in some of the best jazz clubs and festivals in the world. Including Yoshi's Jazz Club (Oakland, CA), Catalina Jazz Club (Hollywood, CA), Bach and Dynamite (Half Moon Bay, CA), Kuumbwa Jazz Center (Santa Cruz, CA), The Jazz Station (Eugene, OR), Egan's Ballard Jam House (Seattle, WA), The Jazz Corner (Hilton Head Island, SC), Heidi's Jazz Club (Cocoa Beach, FL), Timucua White House (Orlando, FL), Ivories Jazz Club (Portland, OR), SOhO Jazz Club (Santa Barbara, CA), AT&T San Jose Jazz Festival, Okazaki Jazz Festival (JAPAN), and the prestigious MONTEREY JAZZ FESTIVAL to name a few. He has also done extensive touring of Japan and Europe.

Rick has performed with Smith Dobson, Albert "Tootie" Heath, Bruce Forman, John Handy, Mose Allison, Carl Saunders, David Grisman, Richie Cole and Dr. Lonnie Smith. Rick has also worked with the San Jose Symphony Orchestra, and the orchestras of the American Musical Theater of San Jose, Opera San Jose, and Theaterworks.
Rick's performing career has been highlighted by performances in: The Hague, Berlin, Abidjan (Ivory Coast, Africa), the Chicago Opera House, the Wilshire Theatre in Los Angeles, the Berklee Performance Center in Boston, the Great American Music Hall and the American Conservatory Theater in San Francisco, the Seattle Opera House and the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Carnegie Hall, both in New York City.
Born in Lima, Ohio, Rick is a graduate of the Berklee School of Music in Boston and San Jose State University. In addition to private studies with Pat Metheny and Mick Goodrick, Mr. Vandivier has taken master classes with Christopher Parkening, Ray de la Torre, Michael Lorimer, Michael Hedges, Tuck Andress and Manuel Barreuco.

Mason Razavi is a jazz guitarist/composer living in the San Francisco Bay Area, performing his original compositions and arrangements both as a solo guitarist and in jazz groups.
While Mason is anticipating a summer 2014 release of a jazz quartet album, Mason's debut CD/DVD People, Places, and Monsters features jazz-influenced original music for the solo classical guitar. Most notably the album includes the Monster Suite, a five-movement narrative suite which was set to original animation. Other album highlights include Lenny's Waltz, a jazz waltz opus dedicated to, and in the style of, the late fingerstyle jazz icon Lenny Breau.
