ARTS ENCOUNTER, APPALACHIAN SPRING PARTY, Ages 3-6
Dance and Art for ages 3-6: 10:00am-12:00 noon.
A dance that none of the Woodland folk want to miss. With the Bumblebee, Cricket, and the Grasshopper Orchestra, we know your young dancers are going to be playing some exciting percussion. Squirrel and Water Rat will be handing out cakes and raspberry drink. Upon the arrival of their surprise guest, Traveling Frog, all will make him feel welcome and teach him the lively Spring Dance.
In Arts Encounter, your young dancers will explore a different story ballet each week culminating in a Thursday family performance.
The children will use improvisation, basic movement concepts, folk dance, and classical ballet to recreate the story ballets. Your children will design and construct costumes, props, and scenery to enhance their production.
At snack time, we'll explore a different culture and era while trying foods from around the world.
Your young dancers will meet for 2 classes daily (dance and art), for 4 consecutive days, to explore, through dance, art, music, and foods from around the world - a different theme each week.
Sign up for 1 week, or all 4.
