Bloom

"Bloom," Standing Wave's spring concert, is coming to the Annex on Sunday, May 19th at 7:30. This performance will feature the world premiere of Rita Ueda's "Poppies Still Bloom and Fall," in which the ensemble will be joined by guest artists Geling Jiang (liuqin) and Ali Razmy (tar). Also on the program is the exhilarating "Metamold" by Bekah Simms for the ensemble and electronics, Linda Catlin Smith's "Wanderer," and Claude Vivier's iconic "Paramirabo". Guest harpist Lani Krantz joins us for Toru Takemitsu's "Rain Spell" to round out an absolutely stellar program.
