Change in Lineup - SCF 2024: Art Anderson and Kim Maguire, Thursday May 30 @ 9 PM
Welcome to Seattle Cabaret Festival 2024!

THURSDAY MAY 30 at 9:00 PM

SEATTLE CABARET FESTIVAL PRESENTS:
ART ANDERSON in "CROONER: ART ANDERSON - SIMPATICO"

Join Art for an evening of smooth jazz vocals, further defining the crooner sound and style with some Latin sway and a few showtunes to boot, all to arrive at the desired goal of Simpatico.

ABOUT ART ANDERSON

Art is very happy to be able to bring his "crooner" sensibility back to this year's Seattle Cabaret Festival after last year's first exhilarating plunge into the Cabaret experience. Art is a member of Actors' Equity, having performed in many musicals and plays throughout Seattle and regionally over thirty years of calling Seattle home.

Change In Lineup - Heather Ward Trio will not perform due to illness. Replacing them is:

KIM MAGUIRE in "HELLO GORGEOUS: BEYOND THE MIRROR"

Kim reflects on how a four-decade life in the theatre pulled her away from herself, and how she got herself back. Singing hot swing and heart-melting ballads from the Great American Songbook, Kim shares how she discovered the art of landing on her feet, while wearing heels.

ABOUT KIM MAGUIRE

For over four decades, Kim Maguire has made her mark as a performer, educator, director, and producer. A 2017 Seattle/Kobe Female Jazz Vocalist finalist, Kim is a mainstay in Seattle's vocal jazz scene. Her signature style draws inspiration from the timeless swing era of the 1940s and '50s, known for its rhythmic depth and beautifully crafted torch songs. Described as a "stunning singer" with an authentic and joyful presence, Kim's style is characterized by her theatrical presence, technical skill, and a silky-smooth vocal texture. Kim is an advocate for the promotion and preservation of The American Songbook repertoire and a mentor to many young musicians.
