Year of the Iris - Annual Spring Picnic
The Foundation for the Preservation of the Caroline Dormon Nature Preserve presents 'Year of the Iris". This is our annual spring picnic, which will be held April 20th, 2024.
Each year, we host this event to welcome our friends from across the state, and even the country! This year will be a little bit different. Visitors can enjoy live music from Derrick McLendon of Many, Louisiana during the Picnic. They will also have the opportunity to enjoy presentations by John Dillon, who will be speaking about how individuals can turn their yards into a birding yard! The next presentation will be by Patrick O'Connor, who will present the history of Louisiana Irises in North Louisiana.
Each visitor will have the chance to tour the property, take home plants from our plant sale, and enjoy a nice lunch.
