Songwriters in the Round

Lisa Redfern brings three talented Maine songwriters to perform in an intimate, unplugged setting in Frontier's theatre for an evening of compelling songs and stories. For this season premiere, Lisa invites Paddy Mills, Jenna Lindbo, and Steve Chaisson to join her.

LISA REDFERN

An award-winning singer-songwriter who just released her 9th solo recording, Lisa blends her roots in all forms of Americana music to create something unmistakably her own. For over 25 years, Lisa has brought joy and comfort to listeners of all ages. After opening for Livingston Taylor, he commented to her "Wow, I haven't heard a voice like yours in 30 years, you sound like the original women of folk."

PADDY MILLS

Paddy Mills is a multi-award winning folk singer who knows how to spin a yarn; "projecting those stories as short movies onto the inside of our forehead", -MaineFolkMusic.com Over the past year Paddy has won the Woody Guthrie Folk Festival Songwriting Contest, the Rose Garden Coffeehouse Performing Songwriter Competition, the South Florida Folk Festival Singer-Songwriter Competition and the Mid Atlantic Song Contest.

JENNA LINDBO

A bicoastal troubadour now living in Maine, Jenna Lindbo is an Oregon native, banjo player, dog lover, and songwriter with serious spark. There's something about her ability to bring joyful attention to the sweetness and sorrow of life worth living that keeps people coming back to soak up the effervescent energy of her shows and get smacked upside the heart.

STEVE CHIASSON

Steve Chiasson has been writing and performing his hand-crafted songs for nearly fifty years. He's won an award or two, had a tune on the Billboard Hot 100, and released four CDs with the band Evergreen. He loves a good turn of phrase and enjoys meandering across a variety of musical styles.
