Maria Bija with Christian Foley-Beining & Mark Taylor with Joelle Gonclaves
With stops in Brazil and in Spain, the Glaser Center's popular Showcase Concerts continue with another in the annual International Music Series. Maria Bija is an Italian-American artist born in Boston, whose background in classical piano, jazz voice, and African-American percussion and dance, eventually found her musical home in the steamy rhythms of Brazilian music. A native of Germany, currently residing in Healdsburg, Christian Foley-Beining is a master Latin-jazz guitarist and bass player. Renowned Flamenco guitarist Mark Taylor, a sensational artist in his own right, teams up with fiery Flamenco singer Joelle Gonclaves for a stirring set of pulse-raising Flamenco music and song.
