An evening of short subjects from the Native American Producers Alliance.

The Last Trek
Navajo Elder Helena Bitsilly is one of the few Navajo people who still make the long and arduous journey on foot twice a year to take their sheep to distant grazing lands.  Navajo filmmaker Ramona Emerson follows Bitsilly on what the elder has said will be her last trek.

Poison Wind
POISON WIND tells the story of a corrupt government's unconscionable greed and a policy of destruction aimed at the Aboriginal Homelands of Indigenous Peoples from the 1950's until today.  This documentary was filmed in 2007 in the Desert Southwest and focuses on lives being destroyed by the horror of uranium mining.  The health effects of radiation take center stage as we focus on how the cruel secret is carried on the face of the wind.

Indians for Indians  A Radio Program
This short subject was part of a 30 minute PBS series shown in 2007.  Indians For Indians is the longest running Indian radio program. Out of Oklahoma it has been on the air since the 1930's and features the two hosts Jesse Hamilton and Eddie Mahseet.  It highlights the importance of song and the high regard held for veterans among Native Americans.
