Ashfield FilmFest XV
The Ashfield FilmFest is back for its 15th installment, featuring two incredible nights of cinematic entertainment in the hill towns.
FRIDAY SEPTEMBER. 22 - 7 PM will screen the short documentary "Alice, At Home with Alice Parker," about local community sing legend Alice Parker. Alice is planning on being present and hopes to lead a short sing with the audience following the screening.
Friday night will also include the screening of "Ruth Stone's Vast Library of the Female Mind." (dir. Nora Jacobson) This documentary dives into the life and work of poet Ruth Stone, and her house in Goshen, VT which served as a pilgrimage site by many young artists and writers.
Following the films will be a panel discussion featuring some local poets and artists moderated by Bus Eisenberg.
SATURDAY SEPTEMBER 23 7PM the classic local shorts competition. 5 min or less films made by filmmakers from the community.
