The David Valdez/Randy Porter Latin Jazz Quartet
Fri, 4/18: The David Valdez/Randy Porter Latin Jazz Quartet -- with Andrea Niemic-bass, and Jason Palmer-drums. This quartet will perform an evening of original jazz tunes combining Brazilian and Afro-Cuban influences. David Valdez has performed with Clark Terry, Matt Otto, Brian Melvin, Heather Bennett, Jay Collins, Peter Appelbaum and Ben Allison, among others. Randy Porter has performed with Freddy Hubbard, Art Farmer, and Benny Golson. He has also performed with the Charles McPherson Quartet throughout the US and in France, Italy, Greece, and China.
