Family Tree live from the farm at Minor Key Brewing
Family Tree will be playing an outdoor (rain/shine) show at Minor Key Brewing. The brewery will be open from 12noon to 5:00PM and the band will play from 2:00-3:30PM. Bring a lawn chair/blanket and picnic lunch!

The Family Tree is a band of long-time friends and upstate NY music legends drummer Chad Ploss has played with regional favorites The Audiostars and the Rob Beaulieu Band; drummer Steve Candlen logs over 200 shows a year in the Saratoga, NY area; multi-instrumentalist Chris Carey is a first-call session player and recording engineer; guitarist Kenny Hohman and bassist Lori Friday are members of the world-renowned band Super 400, and were inducted into the Capitol Region Hall of Fame in 2022. All five members are dear friends from vastly eclectic musical backgrounds. When they come together as Family Tree, audiences can expect a mix of their favorite 1960s and 1970s rock and soul songs, delivered with a wholly unique and improvisational style that has had people saying 'you GOTTA see this band!'
The Family Tree has enjoyed a weekly residency at Putnam Place in Saratoga Springs NY since June 2021, with a dedicated fan base that considers themselves extensions of the 'Tree'. At these events, the band will often invite special guests to sit in, and expect the unexpected! Improvisation is at the core of the band's talent, and familiar songs will breathe new energy. All five members of the Family Tree share singing duties, adding to the depth of their sound.
There is a sincere love between the band and its fans! It's a grass-roots style of music sharing and love that harkens back to the pre-digital age. Music for people who love music!
