Event
Queens New Music Festival: H2 Quartet
Line Drawings: Saxophone Quartet Music in the 21st century.
The saxophone is an instrument uniquely positioned to operate effectively in nearly every genre of serious music. Lacking the historical baggage of many of its peers in the concert world, it moves seamlessly between improvised and composed music, between acoustic and electroacoustic, and between classical and jazz. We present a program that shows the incredibly varied musical directions that saxophone repertoire is going.
