Galanterie
"Galanterie" is a quartet featuring John Scheniderman on lute and guitar, Elizbeth Bloomenstock and Lisa Weiss On violin and Wiiliam Skeen on cello. This group specializes in the wonderfully rich and rarely heard 18th century repertoire for Lute and strings. "Galanterie" performs music by Silvius Leopold Weis Karl Koaut as well as Joseph Haydn and Antonio Vivaldi. This uique beautiful, virtuosic and sometimes quirky literatue has one foot in the baroque period and the other in the classical. The group's performances are imbued with freshness, vivacity, insight and acuracy. John Schneidrmans performances on the lute are dazzling leaving his listners breathless.. His fluent unasuming virtuosity is entirely at the service of the music
