Tidings of my Harp
Mike Parker will present an evening of music for the harp from the late georgian period on original instruments.
These will include the oldest known working pedal harp in the UK, which formerly belonged to Eliza de Feullide, and the only known working example of an Egan Royal Portable Irish harp in private ownership.
The music will include pieces from Eliza's personal music book, and from the collection of `Irish airs' Charles Egan arranged for Princess Augusta, along with sonatas and variations of the period.
