Curator of oral history. Purveyor of life lessons. Sharrie Williams embodies all of these categories and more. Sharrie has written and produced four exceptional CDs to date. She was nominated three times by the Blues Foundation for Traditional Female Artist and Soul Blues Female Artist of the
Year. She won JAZZed Magazine's World Music Artist of the Year. Her concerts span the world from Europe to the Middle East, from Africa to the USA. Her powerful voice is the perfect vehicle for her hard-drivin' blues, her vocal dexterity infuses her music with lyrical shades of jazz, and the sweet tenderness within her musical range is invoked by subjects containing deeply personal events
