Brass & Kettle Dinner Show
Join us for another evening of music and food - our first dinner show was so inspiring we are doing it again! This time around Naomi will be making a rare solo appearance, showcasing the trombone's range of possibilities and subtle nuances. Sara will be bringing you even closer to her roots with a traditional Hungarian meal, the kind she grew up with at Grandma's house.
Start off the evening with a light appetizer as we settle in for an hour of new music by Naomi Siegel. Following the music, we will gather around the table to enjoy good conversation and a homemade family meal crafted by Sara McCabe.
Please note: Beverages are not included in the price of admission, but feel free to bring your own beverage of choice (wine, beer, etc.).
Naomi Siegel is a Seattle-based trombonist, composer and educator. She is excited to present her solo show in this environment, using trombone, loop pedals and other surprises. Siegel's music employs deep grooves, folk-like melodies and soulful, layered improvisation. This show will include music written while traveling in Senegal, Gambia and Costa Rica and brand new improvisations.
Sara McCabe grew up enjoying meals around the dinner table and believes the greatest conversations and memories are created there. Being in the food industry for over 15 years and learning some of the best cooking secrets from her grandmother's Hungarian cooking, she combines fresh ideas with traditional cooking styles to create simple, down home meals that give a glimpse of her cultural roots.
We are committed to creating community events that bring people together to explore music, food and other arts in intimate, intentional environments.
