Nicolò Spera @ Tangents Guitar Series
Join Tangents Guitar Series for a program entirely dedicated to the music of Maurice Ohana (19131992), including ...si le jour paraît..., Tiento, and Estelas. Ohana's music bridges the deep expressivity of Flamenco's Cante Jondo with a modernist, almost cubist harmonic approach. Italian-born Nicolò Spera is a longtime scholar of Ohana's music and a committed performer of this arresting repertoire. He directs the guitar department at the University of Colorado, Boulder.
