AKA Songs from the Club de Wash Years, AKA The Vinyl Years
Berryman Old Songs Night is a somewhat annual event when Lou & Peter perform songs from the early days in their 35 year career in Madison. Since the mid 70's they have played their original, funny, language-loving, sometimes silly and often oddly profound songs, accompanying themselves on 12-string guitar and accordion. The earlier songs were even sillier and odder than they are now.
Though Peter and Lou themselves sometimes feel that they ought to stick to their more "mature" work, they do want to respect and accommodate the folks who remember those songs and want to hear them. By popular demand, on March 28, 2014 they dust off the old tunes and sing them once again, usually along with an audience that remembers the songs better than they do.
