A Taste of Baroque
Cena in Giardino!  That's how Italians say "dinner in the garden."  At this event, it's wine and food in the beautiful Good Life Garden under the olive trees at the Robert Mondavi Institute of Wine and Food Science on the UC Davis Campus.  A sumptuous event for all the senses, A Taste of Baroque will take place Saturday May 10 from 5-8 pm.  The event is a benefit for the Davis Schools Orchestral Music Association, DSOMA, to send the one of a kind Davis High School Baroque Ensemble to participate in the American Music Celebration in Italy this summer.

The event will feature over 30 wineries pouring wines by volunteers from DEVO, the UC Davis Department of Enology and Viticulture Organization comprised of expert viticulture & enology students.  There will also be abundant appetizers, live and silent auction, and a performance by the Davis High School Baroque Ensemble, the first of its kind at the high school level, specializing in Baroque Music played on string instruments remade to closely resemble those used during the Baroque period.
