World Mandolin Concert
Although they evolved from the lute family of instruments in Italy, Portland has become the unofficial hotbed of mandolin madness here in the United States. Now you can attend a World Mandolin Concert at The Historic Old Church. Shining the spotlight on the finest mandolin players in the world, the show epitomizes the myriad of genres into which the mandolin comfortably fits. Featured performers include Chicago-based jazz mandolinist Don Stiernberg, trio and duo member Brian Oberlin, Steffen Trekel and Jesse Cobb.
