Manring-Kassin-Burr: Solos, Duos and Trios
As individual players, Michael Manring, Larry Kassin and John R. Burr have all carved out extensive, multi-faceted careers exploring a vast array of musical styles. Together they create intriguingly uncategorizable music that blithely ignores stylistic divisions hemming in jazz, rock, folk, avant-garde, and world music.
An unsurpassed master of the electric bass, Manring has collaborated with some of the worlds most esteemed improvisers. Kassin is a tremendously resourceful jazz flutist, and Burr is a rollicking pianist with total command of jazz, blues and pop idioms. Together this trio hones extemporaneous-jazz-chamber-fusion-music for our times.
