Zohara, an Israeli woman cut off from her Orthodox family, decides to attend her sister's wedding and reconnect with her family. En route, she stops for a desperate Bedouin woman attempting to escape from a forced marriage. Though they come from different worlds, both share the same desire: to be themselves.

While waiting for someone at the airport, Aya is mistaken as the assigned driver for Overby, a Dane visiting Israel to judge the Rubenstein Piano Competition. She does not immediately reveal the truth and proceeds to drive Overby to Jerusalem, developing a tension filled rapport with him.
