Songwriters in the Round
Lisa Redfern brings three talented Maine songwriters to perform in an intimate, unplugged setting in Frontier's theatre for an evening of compelling songs and stories. For this season premiere, Lisa invites Sara Hallie Richardson, Connor Garvey, and Tim Rice to join her.
An award-winning singer-songwriter who just released her 9th solo recording, Lisa blends her roots in all forms of Americana music to create something unmistakably her own. For over 25 years, Lisa has brought joy and comfort to listeners of all ages. After opening for Livingston Taylor, he commented to her "Wow, I haven't heard a voice like yours in 30 years, you sound like the original women of folk."
SARA HALLIE RICHARDSON
Portland, Maine based singer/songwriter Sara Hallie Richardson, has been performing and writing music through folk, indie, and electronic styles. With influences such as Kate Bush, Bjork, and St. Vincent, Richardson's songs have won her honors at the University of Maine including the Research and Creative Achievement Award and the Outstanding Achievement Award in Arts and Communication Media.
A native of Maine, Connor Garvey is finding his resonance with song enthusiasts across the US. His "winsome way with melody bringing to mind Paul Simon" through songs that "prove you can be optimistic and self-aware without being boring." He wins song competitions, he fills rooms, but most of all he moves people.
A Maine native, Tim has been playing and writing songs for over 40 years. His eloquent, heartfelt lyrics combined with his unique vocals and guitar work, have pleases audiences wherever he had played. A studio musician in Los Angeles, Tim now resides in Scarborough, Maine, splitting time between New York and Atlanta and point in between, where he continues to do what makes him happiest, playing his songs for fans old and new.
