St George's Film Club - The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert
Join us in the beautiful setting of St George's Church, for a screening of the fabulous comedy 'The Adventures of Priscilla, Queen of the Desert.' The 1994 hit comedy film, written and directed by Stephan Elliott. Follow drag queens, played by Hugo Weaving and Guy Pearce, and a transgender woman, played by Terence Stamp, as they journey across the Australian Outback from Sydney to Alice Springs in a tour bus that they have named "Priscilla".
It's the Australian film that blitzed overseas box offices. It caused a near riot at the Cannes Film Festival. It won an Academy Award®. It's fun, daring, over-the-top and unforgettable. It's a road movie with attitude and the occasional frock.
Doors at 7pm, Film at 7.30 and tickets just £5.
The bar will be open all evening, serving hot and soft drinks, wines and beer, homemade snacks and delicious hotdogs. Join us for this fun evening!
