Reagan IB High School Presents: Once Upon a Mattress
Reagan's annual musical Once Upon a Mattress is a classic retelling of the fairy tale of the Princess and the Pea. In this version of the story, we have a kingdom where no one can get married until Prince Dauntless does, and none of the available princesses live up to his mothers exceedingly high expectations (and rigorous tests). Then, one day, when all hope is lost, Princess Winifred the Woebegone (Fred for short) shows up and turns the court upside down with her outrageous attitude and straightforward manners. The Queen needs to cook up a test that shes sure Fred will fail, and decides to test her sensitivity by placing a single pea beneath 20 mattresses. The rest is a story for the fairy tales.
